Griefworks
Provides grief and death education and support for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 17. These groups meet in several area schools on a schedule that is coordinated with the schools. Groups utilize a variety of techniques such as play, music, and art therapies.
Camp Hope
This is a 4 day camp for children and youth between the ages of 5 and 17 who have lost a loved one. This camp is held once a year, during the summer. The goal is to help the children and youth survive the bereavement journey with skills, caring, and friendships to take along the way. Activities include horse back riding, canoeing, bonfire, swimming, arts and crafts, hiking, and much more. Counselors and nurses are on staff at all times and meals and lodging are provided. The camp is open to the public. The cost is underwritten by local donations. Please see our calendar of events for a brochure and registration forms.
