Planned Giving
Hospice of Knox County encourages our families to plan for the future. Often, we are asked “how can you afford to provide your service without billing?”
One answer is in the donations and memorials sent to Hospice after a patient passes away. However, there is another possibility to consider:
As a family makes out a patient’s will, or another family member who is interested in Hospice wants to remember us in his/her will, they may do so through PLANNED GIVING. Simply put, you set aside an amount of money or property you wish to give to Hospice upon your death and designate that in your will.
Gifts may be for:
- Patient care
- Future building(s)
- Medicines for our patients
- Underwriting a program or service (children’s programming, Camp Hope, music therapy)
- Staff positions
Unfortunately, even in today’s world, over 50% of Americans die without a will. Planned Giving helps your family know YOUR wishes and takes the guesswork, the pain, and potential arguments out. Additionally, you will be remembering Hospice of Knox County and contributing to its future.
